Dead Milkmen - Punk Rock Girl

Finally getting some video footage archived and posted to the interwebs. Here's The Dead Milkmen doing "Punk Rock Girl" at Harlow's (April 2015).  There was a time when I never thought I'd see Dead Milkmen live.  Now I live in a world where I've seen them twice.  Granted, for the first one, I had to fly to Austin TX. But still, the world is a much more beautiful place now.

Five Times I Saw David Bowie Live In Concert

I've never been to Coachella; the idea of spending 3 days in the desert with all those dirty hipster hippies has never appealed to me. The one year I was seriously considering going was the year Bowie was rumoured to headline the show -- if he'd signed on, I was going to BE there. The rumours turned out to be fake.  Fortunately I’ve been luck enough to see him on five other occasions...

5 David Bowie Songs You Should Know

Be it his Ziggy-era or his 80's-Muppet-enhanced songs or something else, I see no low period in the material. Here are five semi-atypical Bowie songs that you should know...

Five Things I Dig About Scott Weiland

Scott Weiland died last night.  While I'll wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan of his bands, I've definitely enjoyed my share of his music over the years.  So much so that I was inspired to write a few thougths about him...

Adventures of Record Store Day 2015

Record Store Day 2015! I hit 6 stores, made purchases at 5 of them, and even discovered a new store to add to my list this year (Barney's Music in Woodland...nice guys). Thanks to Mo and Jen for scouting out places in the bay area and helping out! My record collection thanks you!

Happy Replacements Day!

Tonight I'm headed to San Francisco to see THE REPLACEMENTS play a show.  I'm having a hard time believing this is a real thing that's actually happening.  Time travel is indeed possible! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. This is going to rock so hard. \m/

Santa Cruz Road Trip Purchases

Nolan went to Santa Cruz to watch 7 Seconds, and discovered The Interruptors.  And of course, some new music had to be purchased as well.
